Merry Christmas

Dear Friends,

As 2018 comes to a close, we are asking you consider supporting the Kevin Peare Memorial Skate park with your tax deductible donation, any amount helps us.  The skate park has been fundraising for 15 months. We do at least one fundraiser a month. Each month we try to deposit at least $1000. We have tried to be original with our fundraisers and make them affordable and fun! Some of our more popular fundraisers were, The Skateboard Art show at the Conway Public library,The Wicked rides Car show at Tuckerman’s Brewery, and The 1st Annual Ride of Love with the United Bikers of  N.H. Also popular were the Paint and sips, Craft fairs, Yard sales, and grow a beard for Kev competition! Cans in stores around town add up and have been a great way for children to give.

We were very active in the community attending the Funergy festival at the Community Center in North Conway, Teaching 30 children the fundamentals of skateboarding! We were invited to the Conway Elementary after school program to teach the basics. The kids had so much fun and they had a penny war to make a donation to the park.

We entered into the Cupcake wars, sold baked goods and pumpkins at  the Fall festival at Settlers Green, Made a float for the Mud bowl parade and even won 3rd place! Handed out treats at  trunk O Treat at the Fryeburg Fair Grounds and volunteered for Reach the Beach.relay race. We spoke on Valley Vision and on the  Radio station Magic 104. The skate park was featured in Mount Washington Valley VIBE magazine.

The KPMSP has support from the Chamber of Commerce, the Town of Conway and our community!

Many local businesses have either donated or held fundraisers.

We also received donations from Eversource and the Eastern Slope ski area pledged back the money, given to them from a previous attempt to build a skate park for the Mount Washington Valley.

All our efforts have our total to about $30,000! Something we are very proud of!

Alec Beck of the Tony Hawk Foundation said this about our efforts :

“Every now and then an advocacy group reminds us why we do this in the first place. The passion, heart and skill behind the KPMSP project is inspiring”

Our mission is to educate our community about the benefits Skateboarding can have on our individual youths mental and physical well-being. By raising funds to provide a state of the art Skateboard Park to improve their overall safety as well as empower youth with positive alternative choices.

Please consider supporting the Skate park with your tax deductible donation, any amount helps us.

Donations and grants support our efforts to build a State of the Art Skate Park. This park will be safe outdoor space for the skateboarding community. The design will compliment the landscape of  The Mount Washington Valley,

Slated to be 10,000 sq  ft. Cost to build is estimated to be $45 a square ft. The cost of the park will be about $450,000 and take between  2 to 5 years to come to completion.
